Shandrix Fernando
Partner
Born and raised on Curaçao. He moved to the Netherlands where he received his Bachelor in Tax Economics and Master in Tax Law and followed the post graduate course Export Management. He gained international experience working with Loyens & Loeff (1998 – 2003) and Pereira Consultants (2003 – 2005) in the Netherlands.
In 2005, he returned to Curaçao where he worked with Loyens & Loeff until 2007. He founded Fernando Tax Management on January 1st, 2008. Most of his clients have cross-border activities and interests. He advises on tax matters related to investments, financing, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and negotiations in general. Currently, he focuses on fintech and cross-border real estate structuring.
Geraldine Josephina
Managing Partner
Born and raised in Curaҫao. In 1990, Geraldine graduated in Dutch Tax Law from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. Before joining Fernando Tax Management, she has been working as a (senior) tax associate at Loyens & Loeff Curaçao for more than 24 years and was a tax partner at Baker Tilly Curaçao for three years.
She has wide experience in advising medium-sized and large domestic and international companies as well as individuals on direct and indirect taxation. She advices on corporate restructurings, including mergers and acquisitions. She has extensive experience in tax opinions, as well as litigation in the tax and administrative law area.
Donhalisa Henrietta
Senior Tax Associate
Born and raised in Curaçao. In 2006, she obtained her Bachelor in Tax Economics in the Netherlands and is currently completing her law study at the University of Curaҫao, Faculty of Law. In 2007, she returned to Curaçao where she worked for different tax and legal firms. In 2013, she joined Fernando Tax Management as Senior Tax Associate, where she manages client portfolios consisting of both local and international clients with diverse backgrounds and industries.
Her duties include assisting clients in tax related issues, providing tax compliance and tax management services, preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, modeling of complex tax calculations through processes of negotiation and decision-making, preparing commercial to fiscal financial reconciliations, implementing corporate restructurings, including complete business-setups. Because of her knowledge in accounting, tax and corporate law, she can rapidly adjust to the client’s needs.
Liza-Minelly Crichlow-Henriquez
Junior Tax Consultant
Born and raised on Curaçao. In 2013, she obtained her Bachelor in Tax Economics in the Netherlands and is currently completing her master Tax Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.In 2016, she returned to Curaçao where she worked as Junior Tax Assistant and policy advisor of the Minister of Finance. In March 2020, she joined Fernando Tax Management as Junior Tax Consultant.
Her duties include the preparation of income and profit tax returns, correspondence with the Inspectorate of Taxes, reviewing tax assessments, coordinating with colleagues to ensure the timely processing and filing of various requests and other tax management duties.
Katiuska Martinez Perez
Junior Tax Consultant
Born and raised in Curaçao. In 2018, she obtained her Bachelor in Fiscal Law & Economics at the University of Curaçao. Katiuska has worked as a trainee for the Customs of Curaçao and as junior tax consultant for different tax and administration firms. In 2019, she joined Fernando Tax Management as Junior Tax Consultant. Her duties include the preparation of income and profit tax returns, correspondence with the Inspectorate of Taxes, reviewing tax assessments, coordinating with colleagues to ensure the timely processing and filing of various requests and other tax management duties. Katiuska is fluent in Spanish.
Shaneska Frans
Personal assistant
Born in Curaҫao and raised in the Netherlands. She studied Management Assistant and returned to Curaҫao in 2006.In Curaҫao, she completed the courses Financial Assistant/Controller and Legal Assistant. Since July 2015 she is working as a personal assistant to Mr. Shandrix Fernando.
